Let’s read and write, in all the best ways.

Hi, I’m Kali. I’m the Head of Community at Workit Health, a startup revolutionizing the way people recover from addiction. You can read my work on recovery and wellbeing over at Workit’s blog.

I’ve been writing book reviews and other musings at Kalireads.com since 2013. If you want more of my reviews, you can find them at the San Francisco Book Review. My short humor has been featured on McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.

If you’re looking for copyediting services, you’re in the right place. Use the contact me form to get in touch and I’m happy to discuss my availability and pricing.

If you think you have a book you want me to review, great. I love giving strange and unique books a chance! Just check out the review policy here. Although literary fiction, mysteries, and thrillers hold a special place in my heart, I consider myself an equal opportunity reader.

When I’m not reading, writing, or internetting, you can find me drinking iced coffee and/or fizzy water. I’m a fan of reasonable shoes and comfortable chairs.

I would love to connect with you in many ways all over the internet:

They told me that a History degree was useless and for a while I foolishly believed them. But I love history and ultimately stuck with it. Now I am teaching it at college level and I really love it and I am happy doing what I feel most fulfills me in life. So Kali,
if you love English & Literature and Reading passionately (as I love history), my advice is to go for it!

Thanks, Raymond! Glad to have some encouragement. I do think it has to be easier to succeed in this crazy world when doing something you love…
